// terms of service
Last updated 1 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Searcherbox. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are using Searcherbox on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
You need an account to save tracklists and reactions. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. One account is for one person. Sharing logins across a team is not permitted on individual plans.
Do not scrape the service, resell results, attempt to reconstruct our ranking data in bulk, circumvent rate limits, or upload audio you have no right to upload. Do not use Searcherbox to build a competing dataset. Automated access is available through our API on request, not through the web interface.
Searcherbox provides search, ranking and metadata, plus links to third-party services where records can be previewed or purchased. We do not host, stream, sell or distribute audio recordings. Availability, pricing and accuracy on third-party services are outside our control, and metadata supplied by third parties may contain errors.
Tracklists, notes and uploaded files remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service: to store your tracklists, to analyse uploaded audio in order to return results, and to display your content back to you. If you make a tracklist public, you grant us the right to display it to anyone with the link until you make it private again.
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle through Shopify and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown in euros and exclude any tax that may apply in your country.
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not automatically refund partial periods, but if something went genuinely wrong, write to us. We would rather fix it than argue about it.
If we change prices, existing subscribers get at least thirty days notice and the change applies from the next renewal.
The Searcherbox name, interface, ranking system and code are ours. Release metadata belongs to its respective sources and is used under their terms. Nothing here transfers ownership of anyone's music to anyone.
We work hard to keep the service up but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will normally warn you first unless the breach is serious. On termination you can export your tracklists for thirty days.
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to account holders at least thirty days before taking effect.
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation and refund rules, including the EU 14-day withdrawal right and the yearly money-back window, are set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
