A ranking switch that inverts the usual bias. With it on, we demote records with high play counts, big-label backing and heavy circulation, and promote small pressings, unknown artists, B-sides and releases with low Discogs ownership. It does not change what matches. It changes what surfaces first.

Release, label and pressing metadata comes from the Discogs API. Previews play through official YouTube embeds. Acoustic characteristics are computed from files you upload and from legally available preview clips. Our data sources page lists all of it in detail.

No, and we never will. We do not download, extract, cache or store audio from any third-party platform. Every result links out to Discogs to buy and to YouTube to listen.

Yes. Drop an audio file into the search field and we analyse it to build the reference profile. The file is deleted after analysis. We keep only the extracted numbers, and nothing you upload is ever shared or redistributed.

MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, M4A and OGG, up to 50 MB per file. If a file fails it is almost always a lossless rip over the limit. Convert to 320 kbps MP3 and it will go through.

Each record carries scores across six dimensions: groove, mood, energy, atmosphere, rhythm and texture. The overall match is a weighted combination of those plus a small metadata component. Groove and mood carry the most weight, because they predict whether two records sit together better than genre or tempo do.

CSV export is available on every paid plan and imports cleanly into a spreadsheet or a library manager. Native Rekordbox XML and Serato crate export are on the roadmap for Pro DJ.

Yes: 20 searches a month, basic results and one tracklist, with no card required. Obscurity Mode and unlimited tracklists start on Digger at €9 a month.
